Kids' club Fun holiday memories for the whole familiy

Children between the ages of three and fifteen can enjoy a variety of changing activities in our kids’ club, such as table football, painting, and arts and crafts – a great place to meet new holiday friends their own age. During the Christmas season, New Year, and Easter, special highlights await, including making festive decorations and gifts, baking biscuits, or taking part in an Easter egg hunt.

Holiday with dog Discover Rügen with your four-legged friend

Your four-legged friends are very welcome here. Each dog is greeted upon arrival with a blanket and a bowl, which will be available for use throughout your stay. A small bag of treats is also provided, of course. For hygiene reasons, dogs are unfortunately not permitted in our restaurant or wellness area. However, during the warmer months, you can always bring your dog onto the restaurant terrace.
The dog beaches are located at beach access points 2, 3, 50, 51, 55, 56, and 59. Bringing dogs onto the beach during the season is only permitted in the designated dog beach areas. From October to April, all sections of the beach are freely accessible with dogs. Dogs must be kept on a leash while on the beach.
To ensure the comfort of all guests, we kindly ask that dogs must be kept on a leash throughout the hotel grounds. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Sunshine, soft sand and the soothing sound of the Baltic Sea – that’s what a holiday in Binz feels like. And with your very own beach chair, your day by the sea becomes even more comfortable. Relax on the beach with shelter from the wind, a view of the waves, and that unmistakable holiday feeling. Beach chairs can be reserved on site (subject to availability) or pre-booked by e-mail before your arrival. You can also hire your beach chair conveniently online via the local rental service "Dein Strandkorb in Binz".

If you're travelling by car, we recommend reserving a parking space in advance, as spaces are limited. That way, you can start your holiday on Rügen feeling relaxed. Binz offers a wide range of bicycle hire services, where you can easily rent bikes – whether traditional or electric. And after your ride? Feel free to store your bicycle safely in our bike garage, conveniently located next to the car park. This way, you can enjoy relaxed cycling tours through Rügen’s beautiful natural landscapes with complete peace of mind.

  • Does the Rugard Thermal Strandhotel have wheelchair-accessible rooms?

    Unfortunately, our hotel does not have any wheelchair-accessible rooms. The way to our Rugard Royal Spa and to the swimming and sauna area is also only accessible via stairs. If you have any questions, we will be happy to advise you before your arrival by telephone or e-mail.

  • What does non-smoking hotel mean?

    Smoking is not permitted in the hotel rooms, on the balconies and terraces, in front of the hotel entrance or in any other public areas. A smoking pavilion with seating is available approx. 25 metres from the entrance.

  • Which credit cards are accepted at the hotel?

    The following credit cards are accepted at our hotel: American Express, Master Card and Visa, as well as all EC cash cards.

  • Can a car or bicycles be rented on site?

    Are you arriving without a car but would still like to explore the beautiful island of Rügen individually by car or bicycle? Our reception will be happy to assist you and contact a car rental company.

    To rent bicycles, please contact reception. We have a number of rental bikes on site. If you would like e-bikes or have special requests, we will be happy to refer you to a bicycle dealer nearby.

  • Are there parking facilities for cars?

    You can park your vehicle either in the hotel car park for EUR 13.00 per night or in an outdoor parking space on the parallel street for EUR 11.00 per night (approx. 400 metres from the hotel).

    Parking spaces are also available for EUR 15.00 per night in the hotel's own underground car park in the Arkona Strandresidenzen opposite.

    Advance reservation is recommended. Parking larger vehicles is not possible in all parking areas. Please feel free to contact us about this.

    The marked fire brigade access routes must always be kept clear for safety reasons. Parking is at your own risk.

  • Where can my electric car be charged?

    We would like to offer you a comprehensive service, so you have the option of charging your electric vehicle in our underground car park in the Strandresidenzen for EUR 10.00 per charge. Reception will be happy to inform you about its use and provide instructions.

  • Is there childcare at the hotel?

    We offer childcare in our children's club (open at Christmas, New Year's Eve and from Easter), located between the Rugard Thermal Strandhotel and the Arkona Strandhotel. By the way: if you need an additional cot, please ask at our reception.

  • Are dogs welcome at the hotel?

    Pets are very welcome with us! However, we kindly ask for your understanding that, for hygiene reasons, your four-legged friends may not be brought into our restaurants and wellness areas and must be kept on a leash throughout the hotel. Please also note the dog regulations of the district of Rügen. The tourist tax for your dogs is €2 per dog per day.

  • Are there doctors' practices near the hotel?

    If you need a doctor during your holiday or would like to know where the nearest pharmacy is, our reception team will be happy to help you at any time and answer your questions.

  • Can you play golf near the hotel?

    Our guests can play free of charge on the 18-hole golf course at Karnitz Castle. It is located approximately 26 km from our hotel and offers a beautiful backdrop for golf lovers. The free golf offer is available again from March/April 2026. You can obtain further information and book the offer at our reception.

  • Can rooms be rented for conferences or celebrations?
